I am so close to being able to stop using Windows entirely, but in the meantime, I encountered a new ad type: backup service advertisements! It's bad enough that Microsoft automatically spies on your computer usage, now they want you to automatically send your files to them too! :D

Anyhow, this should disable it:

Title is misleading because this doesn't stop all ads.

I used [url=https://superuser.com/questions/1809503/how-to-permanently-disable-windows-11-upgrade-nag-screen]this source[/url] to create a registry file to hopefully remove Windows 11 ads from Windows 10. [url=https://www.askvg.com/guide-how-to-create-registry-script-reg-files-in-windows/]This guide[/url] is also useful for making registry files to make such changes easier.

You shouldn't trust a file you find online without checking it, but I'm including that registry file as an attachment because I'm lazy.

This was created to specifically stop ads for Windows 11, but may affect other ads as well.
